I've got a friend who does logos

When I first set up CMA 24 years ago it cost £15000 to buy a black and white Mac with 40Mb of memory.

Today, virtually everybody has a Mac, everybody has Adobe software, everybody has the tools to do what the professionals can do. And therein lies the problem. But just because everyone has the tools doesn't mean they really know how to use them. Yes they can produce a logo, yes they can produce a photo retouch and yes they can put an advert together good enough to reproduce in a newspaper.

In fact my 16 year old son can do all this – so why don't I forget paying someone thousands of pounds a year and get my kids to do it? – well because there is much more to it than that.

Brand communications is not about pretty pictures, it's more about the reason those pretty pictures need to be there in the first place and there's a whole pile of development work and understanding to get through before that – that's what we do. So to those 'marketing' people who do have a friend who does logos, then go ahead, use him, pay nothing and place your valuable company in the hands of someone who doesn't understand marketing like you obviously don't.

We are recognised professionals and we are therefore only interested in working with fellow marketing professionals – if you are one then speak to us, you'll like what we say and do.
And if you're not then best of luck, you might just need it.
